Turkish history, art and culture were featured in an interactive exhibition namely Ebru or Turkish water marbling art, calligraphy, archery, music and cuisine during the Turkiye Cultural Day held on 29th July 2025. The event organized by Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye and the Yunus Emre Institute took place at UBD.

Present was Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Professor Doctor Hamit Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Brunei Darussalam in his remarks outlined the key to developing a deeper understanding of a culture is through learning the language. In Brunei Darussalam, 14 institutions are conducting the Turkish language course which is a positive growth in people-to-people interaction for both countries.
